Monoflap XC offering an alternative to the Eros. The Polaris has a roomier seat, scaled-up flaps and a smaller block to accommodate the longer leg and/or bigger thighs.

  • If the Eros is too ’neat and compact’ for you or the blocks are a little restrictive, the Polaris is the alternative
  • The smaller blocks and more open seat suits longer legs, or fuller thighs, offering a 'roomier' feel
  • Traditional wool flocked panel or Performance panel Luxurious grippy calf leather
  • 17" and 17½" version is available with forward flaps for longer legs.
  • Less forward flaps are available on 17½" and 18" for those who prefer a generous seat but more leg support
  • The 'default' trim for this saddle is plain, but see bespoke options below for more choices

Changeable Gullet Bars
All saddles feature a changeable gullet bar (either S-Bar or R-Bar) which allows the saddle fitter to choose the width fitting that best suits the profile of the horse’s withers. The bars can be changed quickly and easily as the horse develops or changes shape.

British Wool Flocking
British wool provides superior softness and comfort for the horse. Each saddle has two flocking slots which make it easy for your saddle fitter to make quick fitting adjustments on site.
Girthing Options

All Fairfax monoflap jump saddles (World Class, Performance, Deluxe and Classic) benefit from our unique girthing options.

Monoflap Jump Girthing

The saddle fitter will start with the straps loose through the sleeve

 

If the saddle stays in position then thread the straps through the 1st & 2nd slots

If the saddle slips forward use the 3rd & 4th slots

If the saddle moves back use 4th & 5th slots

If the saddle is rolling or you want an increased the feeling of stability spay the straps using the 3rd & 5th slots
Care & Use

LeathergelThe correct care of your Fairfax saddle is essential. Follow these instructions to ensure years of happy service from your purchase

  • If you have purchased your saddle new, it will come with a tube of Rapide Leathergel. Apply a generous coat of Rapide before first use, using a soft cloth or sheepskin mitt.
  • Any dirt etc should be removed with a damp cloth after use.
  • Then re-apply Leathergel to dry, clean leather. Apply to all surfaces.
  • Never use wet tack.
  • Do NOT use any products containing alcohol (such as spray soap), glycerine (eg saddle soap) or oil (including neatsfoot) on this saddle. Any colour loss or damage to the leather caused by these products will not be covered by the saddle’s guarantee.
  • If your saddle gets wet (in the rain or on the XC course for e.g.) allow the leather to dry naturally. Do not use external heat sources.
  • Check regularly that all four gullet bolts and the two panel screws remain tight.
  • Rapide Leathergel is readily available online. This is the only product we recommend for the care and maintenance of your Fairfax saddle.
